I am also planning a new project. Soon I will be hosting a CLOSE TO MY HEART open house in Mtn. Grove, MO, at Memory Lane Mercantile / Unicorn Flowers and Gifts. I have rented a space in back of the store, large enough for small classes. I will post more details in a few days.

FALL READY? WE ARE. Amy and I have been working very hard on pumpkins, spiders, wire webs (Mr. Oggie did that), black flowers with google eyes (Ms Carly did that) and so much more. This booth is a real treat, no trick. I really hope you can stop by H & K Flea market and see it. If not enjoy the pictures, I posted some of my favorite things.

SEPTEMBER 2012 LAYOUT
Finally I post the September page. For this layout I used CLEMENTINE paper and the design is from CLOSE TO MY HEART'S new inspiration book, MAKE IT FROM YOUR HEART Volume 1. I really like this book. It has scrapbook and card recipes, current trends and tips, and only costs $7.95. That's cheaper than a magazine.

FLEA MARKET BOOTH PICTURES
My friend and neighbor, Amy and I have a cute booth at H&K Flea Market in Houston, MO. We are really proud of it. Our only problem is more ideas than time. Here are a few pictures of recent creations.
This Vintage Hat Box was falling apart. I did some repair work, modge poged sheet music , and added some coffee filter flowers. Now it has a new life. Pictured along side are some Bird House Books. I can't take credit for them, I saw them at a favorite blog Red Hen Home.
Below are pictures of Marge the Flapper and Trudy the Stewardess. I stayed up late in a Modge Podge mood. These two girls were my creations. At 1:00 am I didn't think it was odd to give them a name and occupation. I used old dictionary pages for Marge and sewing patterns for Trudy.
The next two pictures are Amy's creations. She is so talented, and has a gift for seeing a new purpose for cool junk. I call it doing the JUNK JIVE. I think this is what we are going to name our booth.
The next three are pictures of our booth. Amy is the designer and Oggie is the contractor. This is where I got the idea to put old doors on my kitchen wall. You may also notice the other half of my kitchen table attached to an old door. Amy did some painting on this half, looks good.

MY KITCHEN MAKE OVER
My kitchen update has taken all my extra time for about three months. I still have some finishing touches but I am close to being done. We painted the walls and ceiling. Added new ceiling fans, new stove,
refrigerator and a upper and lower cabinet. Painted all the cabinets black. Hung some antique doors on one wall, attached crates and old singer sewing machine drawers for shelves. We also took apart an antique table and attached it to the doors for extra table space. To decorate with, we used kitchen items from our parents, grandparents, and my great aunt Coe. The "new" used lower cabinet was made for my mother by my grandpa Slim. We love our kitchen. I still don't have a dishwasher but I don't mind because I like being in my kitchen now. A big THANKS to my Mom, Amy and Oggie, we couldn't have done it with out them.
JUNE SCRAPBOOK LAYOUT
The first June layout was made from the Florentine paper pack. I loved this paper and thought it was so cute. I am not always good about cutting stripes correctly. I made a mistake and ran out of paper. The second layout for June is just as cute. Made from Zippidy, a discontinued paper pack. Still using the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge for the letters.
